Four Ugandan football schools clashed head-on during the opening day of the 2025 FEASSA Games in Kakamega county on Thursday, 14th August.

Budo Secondary School, the reigning Uganda national champions and Bukedea Comprehensive School earned wins over Amus College and St Mary’s Kitende respectively.

Richard Malinga’s coached Budo SS edged Amus College 1-0 at the Rehabilitation playground before hundreds of people.

Murushin Kizito scored Budo S.S’ all-important goal in the dying minutes of the game.

Denis Ssewaggudde and Patrick Ssenkusu scored in Bukedea Comprehensive’s 2-1 win over St Mary’s Kitende at the Makumu Boys High School playground.

Denis Kisiriko got the consolation for St Mary’s Kitende.

Action continues on Friday with Budo SS taking on Butere Boys from Kenya.

Another Kenyan school, Highway SS will face Amus College whilst St Mary’s Kitende will battle E.P.M Mpanda from Burundi.

The games shall be officially opened on Friday, 15th August 2025 with a lavish ceremony at the Bukhungu stadium.
