Bukedea Comprehensive School football team recorded their second victory at the on-going FEASSA Games 2025 in Kakamega county, Western Kenya.

Following a 2-1 win over nemesis St Mary’s Kitende in Mukumu, Bukedea Comprehensive School humbled Rwanda’s APE Rugunga 3-0 at the Kakamega High School playground on Saturday evening.

“It was a good match” Ssali remarked. “Every game at this championship matters and we are approaching a game at a time” he added.

Bukedea Comprehensive School now has six points in group B from two matches same as St Mary’s Kitende who have played three games so far.

St Mary’s Kitende overcame Benjamin Mpaka High School from Tanzania 1-0 at the St. Ignatius Boys High School in Mukumu.

Denis Kisiriko scored the all-important goal via a well struck penalty.

Group A:

Budo Secondary School also recorded their second victory of the championship, winning 2-0 over Rwandan opposition, CGFK Kicukiro at Kakamega High School playground.

Exciting winger Babi Shakur scored a brace for Buddo S.S, the reigning Uganda national football champions.

Earlier, Buddo SS had edged Amus College 1-0 at the Rehabiliation playground in the opener before settling for a 1-all draw with Butere S.S (Kenya) at Bukhungu international stadium.

Buddo S.S now leads group A with 7 points off three matches. Butere follows with 5 points.

Amus College School continued to fade with a 1-all draw against Butere SS on Saturday.

The football matches in the group phase resume on Sunday, 17th August 2025 at the different venues in Kakamega.

Soccer aside, there is also grueling and exciting action in volleyball, handball, basketball, netball, rugby, hockey, athletics, table tennis, badminton, tennis, swimming, goalball (SNE games), chess, scrabble, beach volleyball, beach soccer, lacrosse, DanceSport and cricket.

Uganda is the overall defending champions.
