  • URA 2-1 Kitara

URA secured a well-deserved 2-1 victory against Kitara in a FUFA Super 8 encounter at MTN Omondi Stadium on Wednesday.

Joseph Semujju and Nicholas Kabonge scored URA’s two goals, while Isaac Doca Mweru scored for Kitara.

The pacey forward Ssemujju broke the deadlock in the 31st minute with a diving header.

At the stroke of halftime, Denis Mande wasted a great chance as his effort went straight into the goalkeeper’s gloves.

Coming into the second half, Kitara came out all guns blazing in search of an equaliser.

Kitara levelled the score six minutes past the hour mark through Isaac Doca Mweru’s rebound. However, the URA backline will be ashamed for failing to deal with John Byaruhanga’s delivery.

Nicholas Kabonge slotted the ball into the back of the net in style at the death of the game, giving the Tax Collectors maximum points.
