Kampala Queens Head Coach Asefah Hailegabreal has named the final squad that will represent the club at the upcoming CAF Women’s Champions League CECAFA Zonal Qualifiers.
The Queens of Soccer will represent Uganda at the regional qualifiers, seeking to become the first team from the Pearl of Africa to reach the final tournament.
It should be noted that each region of Africa is represented by one slot with the host region and defending Champions getting an additional slot.
The team named is comprised of 22 players including the new siginings such as Turist Lema and Amedu Meadin Sahilu (both from Ethiopia), Precious Phiri and Square Maiwase (both from Zambia) and Catherine Wujja and Marion Amangat among others.
Kampala Queens are in group A that has hosts Kenya Police Bullets who they face in the opening game on Thursday at Nyayo Stadium. The other team in Group A is Denden FC from Eritrea.

Each group winner will proceed to the semi-finals, alongside the best runner-up from the three pools.
The semi-finals will be played on September 13, 2025, at Ulinzi Complex, with matches scheduled for 12:30 pm and 3:30 pm.
The final will take place on September 16, 2025, at Nyayo Stadium, kicking off at 3 pm, while the third-place playoff will be played earlier the same day at 12 noon.
