The Zulu Warriors of Dingiswayo FC take the table lead as Season 10 of Chaapa League heads to where it all started – Mbarara High School Playground – for the Playoffs.
The top 8 teams will be competing for the prestigious alumni glory in the title named The Shield on 20th September 2025.

What a season it has been
After 18 matchdays played at two playgrounds, 8 teams shall fight for glory, honour, revenge, and derby rivalries in the quarterfinals to get their hands on the title.
The league has not been short of individual brilliance, as the table leaders still became a common factor.
Owen (Dingiswayo FC) fell behind one of the league veterans, Mayor from Old Timers, as the Cleansheet Master of the League, tipped for the golden Glove, as Atamba and Jim from the table leaders fell behind see Far’s Emma as the top assistant merchant, the two still fell behind Sikukulu’s Emma tipped for the golden boot of the season.

Mbarara set for economic boom and domestic tourism
The League which is widely known for vibes with the commonest phrase of “Ideas come to life on a cold one” and has been a home ground for most of the local artists, will channel the same energy to the home town of Mbarara, whose night economy is expected to sell out for two consecutive nights, from accommodation, to food and as well as beer stock.
A convoy of not less than 15 branded buses is expected to set off from Kampala as each camp attempts to have the best of times with their mates after a very long time.

Whether the Zulu Worriors of Dingiswayo FC still maintain the lead and come back to the Zulu land as the crowned champions or their rivals Chogm FC reincarnate their mastery of playoffs, or the  Old Timers maintain their unbeaten run to the Shield, maybe the new money boys of Yobo Yobo choose to stay on the block, the drivers of Sikukuku might drive away with the trophy, or the big boys of Burdizo stamp and make a statement, Musamatu might see far, if  SeeFar FC doesn’t prevent that.
As the draws set for 10th September approach, what is guaranteed is that everyone will have a good time, and the biggest winners in this will be Mbarara City and domestic tourism.

I love Chaapa League,i cant wait to go back to my former school Mbarara High School on the 20th of September
