URA Football Club has concluded the FUFA Super 8 tournament in third position.
URA secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory against BUL in the FUFA Super 8 encounter at FUFA Stadium, Kadiba, on Wednesday evening.
Moses Aliro scored the only goal as the Tax Collectors bagged the bragging rights on the day.
URA head coach Alex Isabirye made one change in the starting line up introducing goalkeeper Chrispas Kusiima ahead of Mohamed Sekeba.
URA nearly broke the deadlock under five minutes but Ronald Otti’s powerful header went slightly wide of the frame after being set up by Aliro.
Nelson Ssenkatuka was denied from the 12-yard mark in the 36th minute. URA was awarded a penalty after a handball in the area but the new striker failed to convert.
With five minutes to end the first stanza, Aliro finally nodded the ball into the back of the net after connecting smartly with Laban Tibiita’s corner.
BUL kept knocking on the door in the second stanza but failed to go past URA’s well-organised backline.
