2025 Buganda Masaza Cup | Semifinals (2nd Leg)

The 2025 Buganda Masaza Cup finals will be played between Buweekula and Ssingo on 1st November at Hamz Stadium (Nakivubo War Memorial Stadium).

This confirmation came after the completion of the semifinal return legs played in Mukono and Mityana.

At the Mityana Ssaza Ground, Ssingo settled for a goalless score with Bugerere.

Ssingo thus advanced 2-1 on aggregate, having won the first leg played at the Ntenjeru Playgrounds in Kayunga last weekend.

The other semifinal was at the Mukono Bishops SS playgrounds between hosts Kyaggwe and Buwekuula.

Buweekula, who are coached by Felix Kawooya Ssekabuuza, won the battle played on a slippery ground after a heavy downpour 1-0.

Colline Ssemanda scored Buweekula’s sole goal two minutes into the second stanza to level the tie 2-all on aggregate.

Post-match penalties were thus called to determine who progressed to the final, with Buweekula winning the shootout 4-3.

Marvin Busuulwa, Godfrey Arijole and Derrick Taremwa scored for Kyaggwe in the tense post-match penalty shoot-out.

Calvin Peter Emayo blasted his kick over the crossbar whilst Julius Kalule hit the post.

Buweekula scored through Alfred Ssebunya, skipper Calvin Pariyo Ogubezo, Feni Eriyeza and Collins Ssemanda.

The third-place play-off match will also be played on 1st November 2025 at Hamz Stadium as an early kick-off between Kyaggwe and Bugerere.

This championship has been played since 2004, with Gomba the record champions having won an unprecedented five titles.

Players of all tribes and nationalities are permitted to feature in this championship except senior national team players and those who have played in the FUFA Big League and Uganda Premier League.

Telecommunications company Airtel Uganda is among the cast of sponsors who also include Uganda Breweries Limited through the Pilsner King brand.
