National Basketball League side, Namuwongo Blazers, has advanced to the Elite 16 of the Road To BAL 2026.

The Blazers secured a well-deserved 132-58 victory against Djabal Club in the encounter played at IST Gymnasium in Dar es Salaam on Sunday.

After falling to Dar City 83-70, Nam Blazers put their house in order, picking the much-needed victory on the day.

Joel Lukoji Banza made two three-point jump shots as the Blazers opened a 21-point lead (31-10) at the end of the opening period.

On-fire Peter Obleng brought the second period to an end with a dunk as the Blazers took a 39-point lead into the halftime break.

Obleng extended his personal tally with two big long shots beyond the arc as the Blazers ended the third period with a 37-point (84-47) lead.

It was a one-way traffic in the final quarter as the Blazers bagged a massive 78-point victory.

Peter Obleng (39 points), Ivan Enabu (13 points), Innocent Ochera (13 points), Moses Mugisha (11 points), Arthur Wanyoto (11 points), Jaycson Bay Bereal (10 points), and Obasa Toluwalope (10 points) all scored in double digits for the Ugandan side.

The Blazers will be back on the continental stage in November as they play the highly anticipated Elite 16 for a chance to compete at next year’s Basketball Africa League.
