- Buhimba Saints United vs Mbarara City – Royal Park, Butema 4pm
- KCCA vs URA – MTN Omondi stadium, Lugogo 8pm
Following their defeat to Vipers before the international break, KCCA will need to bounce back when they host draw specialists URA at the MTN Omondi stadium, Lugogo.
The Kasasiro dropped to third place on the table thanks to wins for Police and SC Villa but maximum points against the tax collectors could see them reclaim top spot.
Co-coach Jackson Magera will still be in charge with Brian Ssenyondo arriving a few hours before kickoff.
Herbert Achai could be picked to start despite returning to the group only a day to the crucial fixture.
However, all eyes will be on striker Ivan Ahimbiswe who crossed to Lugogo after two lethal seasons with Alex Isabirye’s men.
The striker hasn’t had the best of starts to life at Lugogo with only two goals in six matches but will be keen to prove his former bosses that they lost a gem.
The Kasasiro also have former URA captain Enock Walusimbi in their ranks to try stop the visitors’ attacks.
On the other hand, URA who have drawn five of the six league matches will rely on former KCCA striker Nelly Senkatuka for goals.
It remains to be seen whether Moses Aliro who has been with the Uganda Cranes in Morocco is picked.
URA are currently on 8 points but victory at Lugogo will move them above KCCA on the standings.
Last season, KCCA won the corresponding fixture 1-0 at Lugogo but lost the reverse fixture by the same score line at Hamz stadium, Nakivubo.
Elsewhere, Buhimba United Saints host Mbarara City at Royal Park, Butema in Hoima.
The hosts have lost three matches on the trot despite winning their first three while the Ankole Lions are winless so far and sit second from bottom with only two points.
