She Corporate registered a hard-fought 3-2 victory against Katmpala Queens in the FUFA Women Super League encounter at Phillip Omondi Stadium, Lugogo.
She Corporate’s head coach, Belyse Ininahazwe, made one change in the starting lineup, bringing in Lukiya Namubiru for Hairat Babirye.
Lukiya’s free kick gave Kampala Queens’ goalkeeper Gloria Namakula trouble in the 23rd minute as the visitors pegged hosts on the back foot.
Despite both sides pushing in the first half the period ended goalless extending the assignment to the second period.
Coming from the halftime break, Jesca Namanda broke the deadlock with a cracking finish that forced the fans to get onto their feet in jubilation.
Five minutes later, Namanda doubled She Corporate’s lead after calmly converting from the 12-yard mark.
Marion Amangat nodded home as Kampala Queens pulled back on in the 70th minute.
But Namanda responded in no time to complete her hat trick thus reopening She Corporate’s two-goal lead in the 72nd minute.
Quick-footed Catherine Nagadya guided the ball into the back of the net as Kampala Queens came close in the game with 13 minutes to play.
The victory takes She Corporates to the second position with 20 points while Kampala Queens lie third on the log with 17 points after nine games.
