The CAF EXCO also confirmed that the CAF Awards 2026 will take place in Lagos, Nigeria, on Monday, 7 December 2026. Nigeria will also host the CAF Ordinary General Assemble on Saturday, 21 November 2026.
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) Executive Committee has approved a number of important decisions relating to CAF Competitions and the organisation’s forward calendar.
Sitting virtually on Friday October 2, 2026, the Executive Committee chaired by CAF boss Dr. Patrice Motsepe approved the CAF Competitions Calendar for 2026–2030 period, providing Member Associations, Clubs and other stakeholders with greater certainty in planning for CAF Competitions and Events.

The EXCO received an update on the preparations for the upcoming CAF Strategy Conference in Sal, Cape Verde to be held between 7-9 October 2026.
CAF Interclub Competition:
The following amendments were approved:
- Registration and qualification of Players: To allow players to play for more than one Club during one (1) CAF Interclub season.
- Number of Registrations: Each Club can have a maximum of 40 Players registered at any point during the season. Clubs are allowed to replace four (4) players in the last period of registration if the said players have not been fielded in CAF Interclub matches during the season.
- Disciplinary Matters All Disciplinary Matters will now be referred to the Disciplinary Board, removing responsibility from the Interclub Committee.
The CAF Women’s Champions League 2026
The CAF Executive Committee approved the dates of the CAF Women’s Champions League 2026.
The Final Competition will be played on 1-15 November 2026
CAF Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations Senegal 2026
Champions, Senegal will host the CAF Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations on 28 November to 06 December 2026.
