Buganda Province booked a slot into the final of the FUFA Drum after overcoming Acholi in the return leg of the semifinals played on Sunday at Lugazi Stadium.

After suffering a 2-1 defeat in the first leg, Buganda won with the same scoreline to force a penalty shootout which they eventually won 4-1.

In the return leg, John Baptist Kica gave Acholi the lead, a minute into the second half with a ferocious strike inside the box.

However, Buganda staged a spirited comeback to score twice through Henry Wamala who equalized two minutes later before Christopher Kambugu found the winner.

The result meant the two teams had to be separated on a penalty shootout and it was Buganda that came out successful, winning 4-1.

Buganda who won the inaugural edition back in 2018 will battle defending Champions Lango in the final. The latter eliminated Bunyoro 1-0 on aggregate.

It should be noted that the current tournament stretches from 2025 but the edition has been delayed due to numerous issues.
