Pyramids and RS Berkane remain the only perfect sides in the Caf Champions League following their victories against Power Dynamos and Rivers United respectively.
Both teams picked wins on the road with the champions edging Zambia’s Power Dynamos 1-0 in Ndola while Berkane, Caf Confederation cup holders saw off RS Berkane 2-1 in a dramatic game.
Mohamed Reda Bobo scored the winner in Ndola to earn the Egyptian side a deserved win.
In the same Group A, RS Berkane came from behind to win 2-1 in Nigeria with goals from Youness El Kaabi and Mounir Chouiar cancelling out an own goal from Lamine Mamadou Camara.
In Group B, JS Kabylie and Young Africans played out a goalless draw with either team creating a few chances but the Tanzanian side remain second on goal difference behind Al Ahly who secured a vital point away to AS FAR of Morocco.
Mohcine Bouriga scored for the hosts before Mohamed Trezeguet levelled matters for the record champions.
In Group C, Mamelodi Sundowns earned a vital point away to MC Alger drawing 0-0 while St Eloi Lupopo also earned a point with a late equaliser against Al Hilal.
Abdelraziq Omer gave the Sudan side a deserved lead in the first half before Ramos Kashala equalised for the Congo side.
In Group D, Esperance de Tunis earned a vital point away point against Petro de Luanda.
The hosts opened the scoring in the 49th minute through Tiago Reis, putting the hosts in control before the former champions equalised late in the game with Aboubacar Diakite getting the goal in the 89th minute.
The matches will resume after the TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations 2025 in Morocco.
