Sports cheer-leader Abdallah Byaruhanga

Abdallah Byaruhanga has established himself among the country’s cream-de-la-crème of the sports cheering docket. Domestically, he is a sworn fan of Sports Club Villa, Kampala Queens and Uganda Cranes (football), Toyota Buffaloes Rugby Football Club (Rugby) and the Parliament of Uganda.

Amid the demanding primary role of legislating the laws that govern the country, the Parliament of Uganda has also maintained the status-quo in the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) docket.

Barely days after organizing the tranquil 15th East African Community (EAC) Inter-Parliamentary Games, the Parliament of Uganda has also led by example by generously giving back to the people.

Deputy Speaker of Parliament Rt. Hon. Thomas Tayebwa officially announced the full-board sponsorship for proven cheerleader Abdallah Byaruhanga to travel to the 35th TotalEnergies African Cup of Nations (AFCON) football tournament in Morocco, North Africa.

Byaruhanga has for the past couple of years established self among the leading sports cheer leaders in the country with relevance in football, rugby, athletics, tug-of-war, netball, basketball, volleyball and many indoor sports.

He was ever present during the 2025 EAC Inter-Parliamentary Games, often decorated in the black-yellow-red national flag colours, actively cheering on as he passionately blew the vuvuzela instrument.

At all football games, athletics, basketball, volleyball, netball and tug-of-war, Byaruhanga was ever present with a bold mission at hand, to encourage the participants.

“Parliament of Uganda is offering sports cheerleader Abdallah Byaruhanga all expenses paid for trip to Morocco to support Uganda Cranes and other East African states. He has shown energy and passion through the EAC Inter-Parliamentary Games in Kampala.” Rt.Hon Tayebwa announced as Byaruhanga knelt down in appreciation.

The offer includes a return air-ticket, visa fees, full board accommodation for 30 days, internal transport, feeding and any other costs deemed necessary.

“I am honoured for this support from the Parliament of Uganda. It Is a special moment to revel about” Byaruhanga spoke.

Domestically, he is a sworn fan of Sports Club Villa, Kampala Queens and Uganda Cranes (football), Toyota Buffaloes Rugby Football Club (Rugby) and the Parliament of Uganda.

At AFCON 2025, Uganda Cranes is caged in group C alongside African giants Tunisia and Nigeria, with CECAFA neighbours Tanzania.

Uganda Cranes will be stationed at La Caroussel Hotel in Rabat city.
