Police FC secured a 2-0 win over KCCA at the Kira Road arena as the Uganda Premier League resumed on Tuesday. It should be noted that the League had taken a break due to Uganda Cranes participation at AFCON 2025.
Following Uganda’s early exit, the League returned today with matchday twelve fixtures and one of those was between the Cops and Kasasiro Boys.
Since the start of the season, Police under the tutelage of Matia Lule have been impeccable and their outstanding performance was again on show against table leaders KCCA FC.
In a closely contested game, two second half goals from Brian James Obedi and Congolese forward Bedia Djuma Ikamba secured all three points for the Cops.
Obedi put the hosts into the lead six minutes after restart, firing a strike from distance when Denis Kalanzi headed the ball into his path.
Ikamba doubled the lead two minutes after the hour mark to all but secure victory for Police despite KCCA’s late surge.
Victory takes Police FC to second place on 24 points same as Vipers who play Mbarara City later on.KCCA FC despite the loss remain top of the pile on 26 points.
