Almost a century later, the same old script has been maintained to the dot, embroidered in teamwork character, aggression, ultra professionalism and contemporary sheer planning.
Following a largely successful 2025 season, the year 2026 is promising thanks to the committed service delivery from the entire ministry of youth, Sports and the arts under the effervescent minister, Oweek. Robert Serwanga Ssalongo and his entire working team.

The diligent secretariat endures sleepless nights, coordinates planning meetings within the different 18 counties (Masaza’s), associate ministries, partners and other strategic stakeholders as they burn calories to deliver the best product home, in a timely manner.

Akin to strategy, an elaborate crowded calendar was designed encompassing all the mouthwatering and thrilling activities, year round month after month.
January was ear marked for planning, perfecting behind-the-curtains game and at the same time engaging relevant stakeholders, partners and sponsors alike.
February returns with the second edition of the Buganda sports awards gala following a successful inaugural version held at Butikiro last year.

This is the typical Buganda norm and spirit of appreciating personalities who have surpassed the bare minimum with exceptional service above self.
The same month (February) through to March will have the Ggombolola competitions for football, netball and other disciplines which will be confirmed.

March also has the birthday and coronation motor sprints as well as the Buganda schools gala.

By and large, 2026 remains a year of recokning, transformation, promise, great potential, talent development and unwavering euphoric moments.
