Uganda Police Football strolled to the round of 32 of this year’s Stanbic Uganda Cup.

This followed an emphatic 3-0 victory away to Mairye on Friday, 6th February 2026 in Luweero district.

Charles Bbaale scored twice (a brace) and Umar Kasumba had the other for the footballing cops.

Kasumba opened the scoring business with a penalty in the 9th minute as the visitors led 1-0 by the mandatory half time break.

Bbaale, a former Sports Club Villa player then scored two second half goals in the 66th and 81st minutes to summarize the victory past the fourth division entity.

In the other games played during the round of 64 on Friday, Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) overcame Patongo 1-0 in Agago district.

Joshua “Letti” Lubwama grabbed the headlines, scoring the solitary goal for the tax collectors as they marched to the round of 32 in the competition.

His goal arrived as early as the 6th minute off a well struck volley from skipper Nelson Senkatuka’s corner kick delivery.

Meanwhile, Entebbe Uganda Printing and Publishing Corporation (UPPC) Football Club beat Ombachi Pride 1-0 in Koboko.

Second half substitute Fazil “Chopra” Tumwine scored the lone goal of the goal in a game that was marred by rains.

In Soroti, Kitara made it to the next round with a 1-0 victory over Obule Earth Quake football club.

A 10 man Lugazi overcame Kisugu United 2-0 in Kampala.

In West Nile, Maroons outmuscled Paidha United 2-1 at the Bar Okoro stadium in Zombo district.

Brian Nkuubi Ssemakula and Dickson Niwamanya scored for the visitors.

NEC edged Mabira Town Council 2-0 at the Nyakasanga play ground in Kasese courtesy of Allan Mugalu and Mohammed Kagawa’s second half goals.

Away in Pallisa,10-man Sports Club Villa gritted their teeth to record a 2-1 win over Pallisa Hospital Football Club.

Captain David “Colgate” Owori and Aslam Ssemakula were on target in each half for the Jogoos who completed the game with a man less following the sending off of goalkeeper Jean-Braddy Wokorach.

Wokorach was penalized in the 4th minute for handling the ball out of the goal area, and the Jogoos endured for long spells of the game with 10 men.

More matches at the round of 64 will be played in the coming days ahead of the draw for round of 32.

Vipers Sports Club is the reigning cup holder.

The winner of the Stanbic Bank Uganda Competition earns a ticket to represent the country at the CAF Confederation Cup.

This tournament has been played since 1971 and remains arguably the oldest knock out football event in Uganda, involving almost all clubs in the country.
