Mutolere Football Club (Volcanoes) will make the long trip from Kisoro to Ngora in the North East of the country as they take on Tapo United at the Kapir primary school ground during the Stanbic Uganda Cup round of 32 stage.
This contest will take place on Friday, 27th February 2026.
Featuring in the Western regional league (third division), Mutolere FC recently earned three points on silver platter after Rwenshama failed to show up at the Mashaka playgrounds in Kisoro district.
Mutolere who are coached by former Uganda Cranes international Patrick Ochan eliminated FUFA Big League side Wakiso Giants at the round of 64, winning 4-3 in post-match penalties after normal time had ended 2 goals apiece.
Julius Lukyamuzi and Sunny Kaija scored for the home team to neutralize Kasozi and Pius Wangi’s earlier goals.
During the tense shoot-out, Lukyamuzi, Derrick Menya, Davis Muheirwe and Henry Tumusiime converted for SC Volcanoes whilst Alex Mandera missed his kick.
Bashir Mutanda, Musa Matovu and Samson Kasozi were on target for Wakiso Giants as Duncan Sseninde and Pius Wanji missed their respective kicks.
The successful 16 clubs from the stage of 32 will play at the next round of the oldest knock out competition in Uganda’s football, during the round of 16.
Stanbic Bank Uganda bankrolls the Uganda Cup competition that has been played since 1971.
