St Lawrence University became the first team to qualify to the quarter finals of the 2025/26 Pepsi University Football League (UFL).

This followed a hard-fought 1-0 victory on the road at Gulu University in Group D on Wednesday, 11th March 2026.

Sharafah Mukiibi scored the all-important goal for St Lawrence University.

St Lawrence University now has 9 points having won all their group games and becomes the first team to make the quarter final stage.

In the same group, Lira University recorded their first victory of the season with a 2-1 home win over Makerere University Business School (MUBS).

Huzaifah Kihumuro and Emmanuel Okeng scored for the home side as MUBS’ consolation came from Brian Katete.

Kihumuro opened the scoring business for Lira University in the 55th minute.

It was short-lived joy when Katete found the equalizer for MUBS 6 minutes later.

Okeng grabbed the headlines with a last minute gasp winner in the second minute of added time as Lira University attained maximum points in their first victory of the campaign.
