Uganda Martyrs University (UMU) Nkozi qualified for the quarter finals of the 2025/26 Pepsi University Football League following a 2-1 victory on the road over University of Kisubi (UniK) in Kisubi on Sunday, 15th March 2026.

Ronald Obedgiu scored a brace for Eric Kisuze’s coached charges as Peter Bukenya pulled back a consolation for the hosts in the second half.

Obedgiu scored arguably the fastest goal in the competition this season with a strike past goalkeeper Amos Nsubuga after 20 seconds.

His second goal arrived in the 27th minute and it would have been 3 goals up had Emmanuel Atiki’s distant shot not razed off the cross bar with 10 minutes to climax the first half.

In the second half, Bukenya pulled back a goal for UniK in the 54th minute as they mounted a comeback but the visitors held firm for the victory that propelled them to 11 points, 2 shy of Kampala University in Group A.
