Kigezi Home Boyz Football Club maintains the grip at the summit of the 2025/26 FUFA Big League with the final bend of the season fast knocking.

The “Gorillas” overcame visiting Bunyaruguru United 1-0 on match day 19 in Kabale.

Enock Tumwesigye scored the all-important goal coming in the 58th minute, via a well taken penalty.

Kigezi Home Boyz now has 35 points, two better than second placed Blacks Power who defeated CATDA 2-1 on the same day.

Baker Buyala and Andrea Noll Ogwal scored for Blacks Power.

In other results, Kataka out-muscled rivals Mbale Heroes during the derby duel at Mbale City stadium.

This was Kataka’s 10th victory in 20 outings as they climb to the top four with 31 points.

FUFA Big League match day 19 results

Away in West Nile region, Nebbi Central humbled visiting Wakiso Giants 4-0 at the road side Luo grounds.

Sabir Edema and David Ochirchan scored a brace apiece for Nebbi Central.

In Zombo, Paidha Black Angels smiled past Iganga United 1-0. Paidha Black Angels ascended to third position with 32 points.

Meanwhile, Kiyinda Boys registered the same scoreline over Solitlo Bright Stars at the Luzira stadium.

Young Elephants and Ntugasaze played to a thrilling 3-all draw in Nwoya at the Elephants Park.

Earlier on Saturday, Onduparaka edged visitingKaaro Karungi 1-0 at the Ababet Green Light stadium in Arua city.

The top four clubs will earn direct promotion to the StarTimes Uganda Premier League whilst the bottom placed four shall be relegated to the respective regional leagues.
