The Africa Rally Championship returns to Uganda with a huge number of crews aligned to take on the continental challenge.
The Pearl of Africa Rally, scheduled for 7-9 May, will be the second round of the ARC. The rally heads back to Mbarara, in Western Uganda.
Over 20 crews will be chasing the points in their respective ARC categories.
Two-time ARC champion Karan Patel returns to Uganda for yet another attempt to claim a third ARC title.
Patel and co-driver Taussef Khan are currently atop the leaderboard, having won their home event, the Kenya Safari Rally.
Samman Vohra, who is currently third on the ARC leaderboard, is once again expected to be the center of attraction in his bid for a maiden ARC title.
Vohra made the highlights of last year’s Pearl Rally, and much more is anticipated of him this year.Â

Reigning ARC champion Yasin Nasser will be out to spice up the ARC contention in Mabarara.
In the ARC2 category, Uganda’s Oscar Ntambi leads the category and will be in the fight with visiting crews from Kenya and Tanzania.
The Pearl Rally revs off with a 4.66km qualifying stage on Thursday, 7th May, followed by a 3.77Km shakedown at Mwesigwa Resort in Mbarara.
The rally will consist of twelve (12) stages, running a total competitive distance of 201.85 kilometres.
