UPDF players at Bombo

UPDF travel to Fisheries Ground, Bugonga seeking maximum points to keep survival hopes alive.

The army side sit third from bottom on the table, only six points ahead of the relegation places and with results for Calvary and Mbarara City going against them on Friday, Alex Gitta’s men need victory at Entebbe.

They come into the game on the back of a disappointing 2-0 defeat away to Police and a similar result will derail their chances of another season in the top flight.

Forwards Ivan Bogere, Enrique Lubwama and Samson Kigozi among others will need to be lethal against one of the best defences in the division.

For the hosts targeting climbing into the top five, a win is a necessity and Abdallah Mubiru is aware of that.

With Police defeated and NEC not in action until Saturday, a win which seals a double over UPDF lifts them into 5th place.

Forward Ambrose Kigozi, Laban Tibita, Julius Poloto and Isa Bugembe among others will be vital for the Printers who beat Calvary 2-0 in their last outing.

Elsewhere, KCCA host Maroons at Lugogo in the day’s late kick off.
