- SC Villa 1-0 URA [Agg: 3-0]
SC Villa completed a semi-final double over URA to reach the 2026 Stanbic Uganda Cup final following a 1-0 win at Fufa stadium, Kadiba in the second leg on Saturday.
Leading 2-0 from the first leg, Villa coach Zeljko Kovacevic didn’t take chances naming a strong eleven.
The visitors started brightly but faded after a few minutes with Villa taking control of proceedings.
They had a couple of chances to take the lead in the first half but poor decision making and URA’s resilient defending enabled a goalless first half.
In the second, Villa turned on the heat especially after the introduction of Geoffrey Gaganga and Ibrahim Kasinde with the latter forcing an own goal from James Begisa in the 75th minute as he failed to clear his shot.
URA’s Ssekibengo, a second half substitute tested David Lukwago in Villa’s goal but his attempt hit the bar after going through Lukwago.
Villa will now aim to win a 10th Uganda Cup, their first in eleven years after they beat KCCA 3-0 in a controversially replayed final at Namboole in 2015.
They will face one time cup winners Kitara who eliminated holders Vipers on Friday.
