Amus College School Football Club won the 2025-26 Eastern Regional League

Eastern Regional League 2025-2026:

  • Champions: Amus College School Football Club – 51 points
  • 1st Runners up: Busoga United Football Club – 38 points
  • 2nd Runners up: Iganga Young Football Club – 33 points

Relegated clubs:

  • Bwondha Victoria Football Club – 16 points
  • Eme United Football Club – 3 points (Pulled out after 11 matches)

Barely days after lifting the 2026 Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) Boys’ football trophy in Lira, Amus College School family has continued to enjoy the podium celebrations.

On Friday, 23rd May 2026, Amus College School completed the regular season of the 2025-2026 Eastern Regional league as champions with an overwhelming 51 points fetched from 21 outings.

The Bukedea based club was a massive 23 points adrift from second placed Busoga United Football Club.

Busoga United, a former top tier club in the Uganda Premier League ended the season with 38 points, five better than third placed Iganga Young Football Club.

On the final day of the season, Amus College School shared the spoils 1-all with Busia Young Stars away in Busia before they were rewarded with the gold medals and a trophy.

Now Amus College Football Club will face North East regional winners MYDA football club in a two legged promotional battle for the FUFA Big League slot next season.

Amus College Football project is under the tutelage of former Uganda Cranes international, Richard Malinga who serves as head coach, Nimrod Kintu is technical director, Edgar Sharp Bwogi (assistant) and a cross section of other coaches.

Relegated:

Bwondha Victoria Football Club and Eme United Football Club were relegated to the different district leagues with 16 and 3 points respectively.

Eme United FC did not complete the season having played on 11 games.

A total of 12 clubs featured in the Eastern Regional League for the 2025-2026 season.
