RESULT – GAME 3 – MUMBAI TOUR

  • Uganda XI — 114/8
  • MCA Colts XI — 115/5
  • MCA Colts XI won by 5 wickets

Uganda’s Cricket Cranes failed to get past MCA Colts XI in the third T20, losing by five wickets in a low-scoring game.

The Cricket Cranes won the toss and elected to bat first. Fahad Mutagana and Charles Mushemeza fell cheaply until Gerald Olipa (23) and Simon Ssesazi (22) anchored the scoring, but not at a great strike rate.

The middle order didn’t hold much to push the total, with only Tanvish Vaze (27) making a meaningful contribution. The Cricket Cranes were bundled out for just 114/8 in this quota of 20 overs. It was a below-par total that would need some out-of-the-world bowling to win the game.

In the run chase, fast bowler Enock Kasaija ripped through the top order with three quick wickets; however, a big partnership between Harsh (49) and Aryan Patil (32) deflated the charge from the Cricket Cranes.

In the end, there were not enough runs on board, the undoing for the Cricket Cranes as the hosts got to the target inside 19 overs.

The Cricket Cranes suffered their only loss in Mumbai after seven games; the scores in the T20 have been average, which has not given the team an opportunity to mount a challenge.

The visitors will play their final game of the tour tomorrow against another Mumbai select side.
