The Annual General Meeting of Vipers Sports Club that convened at the St Mary’s Stadium on Friday, 29th May 2026 endorsed in affirmative an annual budget of Ug.Shs 6.5 billion for the season 2026-2027.

Top brass club officials led by the president Dr. Lawrence Mulindwa, members of the governing board, executive committee members, secretariat headed by the CEO Simon Peter Njuba, fans’ coordinators, FUFA representatives and the media graced this tranquil AGM.

Dr.  Vincent Sajjabi, the club financial director presented the detailed consolidated and revised balance sheet as well as the profit and loss statement to the delegates.

Christopher Buyondo moved the motion to pass the financial report, seconded by Robert Kaleebu.

The budget presented that has all the incomes is to a tune of Ug.Shs 6.1 Billion with the expenditures at Ug.Shs 6.5 billion.

The motion to pass the financial budget was seconded by Claire Mulindwa and seconded by Caroline Mulindwa.

Among the income sources include merchandise and ticket sales, cash prizes as well as player sales, among others.

Dr. Mulindwa in his address highlighted the achievements, challenges and way forward for the club during the 2025-2026 season.

Among the achievements hinted on was retaining the Star Times Uganda Premier League title and spreading of the team base to the countryside.

“Retaining the league title was a great achievement to Vipers Sports Club. We also spread the team base to other parts of the country and here I salute the fans’ coordinators” Dr Mulindwa pointed.

He hinted on the couple of challenges as slow start due to the new league format debate, lack of respect from FUFA, biased officiating and conflict on interest scenes where some other club officials were appointed on specific federation committees.

Targets:

Among the aspirations for the club that Dr Mulindwa spoke about entailed turning Vipers Sports Club into a fully self sustaining institution with viable business projects.

He also talked about strengthening internal organization for the club, empowering and recognizing all existing branches as well as opening new ones, beefing up the squad to compete domestically and on the continent, improving infrastructure (including access roads to the stadium), expanding parking for fans and construction of a modern restaurant.

Club chairperson George William Mulindwa vowed “We shall continue to walk the talk” in reference to maintaining the set high standards.

FUFA was ably represented by Deo Mutabaazi, an executive committee member and Hajjati Aisha Nalule, the FUFA Director member relations.

The roll call was executed by the club CEO Simon Peter Njuba. The club’s head of legal Alex Luganda passed the motion to approve the agenda with co-director Harunah Kyobe seconding.

Head of public relations Abdul Wasike passed the motion of appointment of members to check minutes with George William Ssali seconding.

Kenneth Muwanga passed the motion of approval for the minutes of previous AGM as Richard Wasswa seconded.

The AGM is in line with the FUFA regulations and the club’s constitutional mandate.
