Uganda Premier League side BUL FC has confirmed ten players will leave the club after expiry of their contracts. The Eastern Giants are in a bid to refresh the squad ahead of the new campaign.
“Following a thorough end-of-season review, the club confirms that all players whose contracts have expired this summer will not be renewed ahead of the 2026/27 campaign. Over ten players whose agreements came to an end will move on as we begin a new cycle. This decision is part of our long-term vision to refresh the squad, invest in emerging talent from our development structures, and build a team ready to compete at the highest level in the Uganda Premier League.” Reads a statement on the club website.
The players departing include; Ibrahim Orit, Fredrick Ngalo, Bakali Magunda, Viane Sekajugo, Thomas Ochungo, Jeromy Kirya, Nicholas Mwere, Julius Barasa, Isaac Wagoina and Karim Ndugwa.
Reports indicate, Mwere has already reached an agreement with Champions Vipers SC.
