Uganda U17 Women’s Football National Team, the Teen Cranes sealed their place into the semifinals of the CECAFA U17 Women’s Championship on Tuesday with one group game to spare.
The Sheryl Botes coached side defeated Zanzibar 3-0 in their second group game to maintain a perfect start.
Shadia Nabirye, Immaculae Acen and Justine Ayerango scored a goal each to guide Uganda to victory.
The result meant Uganda moved to six points in Group B and despite having to play South Sudan on Thursday, they progress to the semifinals.
In Group A Tanzania and Kenya are level on six points and have both sealed qualification to the semifinals but the two will face off on Wednesday to determine who tops the group.
