Final Day Results
- Morning: Bunyonyi Warriors 184/9 beat Kyoga Avengers 117 by 67 runs
- Afternoon: Victoria Strikers 215/2 beat Mburo Blasters 171/5 by 44 runs
Victoria Strikers got the lucky stars aligned for them perfectly to win the Great Lakes Men’s T20 on the final day on Net Run Rate.
They edged out favourites Mburo Blasters on net run rate, and a loss for early pace setters Kyoga Avengers to Bunyonyi Warriors knocked them out of winning the event.
Victoria Strikers had to thank Simon Ssesazi (116), who notched up the second century of the tournament. He saved his best for last, and his blistering century came off 61 balls and was littered with 10 boundaries and eight maximums, and he got support from Perry Wazombe (39) and Kenneth Waiswa (47) in a team high of 215/2 in their quota of 20 overs.

In reply, Mburo Blasters’ top order has been one of the most destructive in the whole tournament, but they failed to find their footing with Fahad Mutagana departing early.
Stephen Wabwose (79) was the aggressor, with only Charles Mushemeza (39) offering support, but they didn’t have to take down 215. The margin of the loss was the difference between the two sides, and in the end, Victoria Strikers edged out Mburo Blasters via Net Run Rate.
In the other game, Bunyonyi Warriors won their only their third game of the tournament with a comprehensive 67-run victory against early pace setters Kyoga Avengers.
Kyoga Avengers had a run of four unbeaten games at the start of the tournament, and once the slide started, they just went further down the table.
Joseph Baguma (75) was the notable contributor for Bunyonyi Warriors with Cosmas Kyewuta (39) and Fortunate Alijuna (22) offering some support.

In response, Kyoga Avengers offered no resistance apart from their captain Gerald Olipa (53), who got virtually no help from anyone else.
Kyoga Avengers were their own enemies, sliding down the table after a great run of four unbeaten games at the start of the tournament.
All three top sides finished on the same number of points, but were only separated by the net run rate.
It was a tournament with a lot of runs, with the batters dominating the bowlers.
Charles Mushemeza (Mburo Blasters) won the best batter award, Kassim Adam (Bunyonyi Warriors) won the Best Bowler award, while Gerald Olipa (Kyoga Avengers) won the MVP title.
