Management of Kigezi Home Boyz Football Club, a newly promoted Uganda Premier League entity has officially announced the appointment of former Uganda Cranes midfielder Joseph Harold Mutyaba as head coach.
The announcement was executed on Wednesday, 24th June 2026.
“Everyone at Kigezi Home Boyz FC welcomes Mutyaba to the club and wishes him success as he leads the team into an exciting new era and our first-ever Uganda Premier League season.” a club statement read aloud.

Mutyaba is a CAF “A” certified coach who comes along with invaluable experience as a former player and coach.
He penned a two year renewable employment contract.
Mutyaba has been unattached to any club since his diligent service at Malindi Sports Club in Zanzibar island.
He has also coached at Soltilo Bright Stars, Tooro United, Masavu, Entebbe FC, Onduparaka, Lweza and most recently in Zanzibar.
His vast playing career spanned from Express, Sports Club Villa, Uganda Revenue Authority (URA), Oman, Qatar and the treasured senior national team, Uganda Cranes where who won over 40 international caps.
The vacancy of head coach at Kigezi Home Boyz has existed since Sadiq Sempigi’s tenure came to an end at the close of the FUFA Big League season.
Kigezi Home Boyz is among the four promoted clubs to the 2026/27 Uganda Premier League alongside champions Blacks Power, Kataka and Ntugasaze.
