Kampala Queens FC assistant coach Sharon Kizza has officially parted ways with the club following the expiration of her contract, the team confirmed today.
Kizza chose not to renew her contract after a highly successful two-year tenure with the FUFA Women’s Super League (FWSL) giants.
During her 24-month stint with the “Queens of Palace,” Kizza was a pivotal figure in the technical dugout.
The club praised her immense contribution to their recent historic runs, noting her key role in building a formidable and highly competitive squad.
“Coach Sharon worked with great professionalism, commitment, and passion,” Kampala Queens FC said in an official statement.
“She contributed immensely to the club’s success, including winning the FUFA Women’s Super League and the FUFA Women’s Cup.”
Kizza leaves behind a glittering legacy at the club, having helped guide the team to the pinnacle of domestic women’s football.
Her tactical acumen and dedication were instrumental in securing the coveted double, cementing Kampala Queens’ dominance in Ugandan football.
The club expressed its deep gratitude to the departing tactician as she prepares for the next chapter of her career.
“Thank you, winning Coach Sharon Kizza, for your dedication and the impact you have made at Kampala Queens FC. We wish you the very best in your future endeavors,” the club added.
Kampala Queens have not yet announced who will replace Kizza as they prepare for the upcoming campaign.
