SC Villa has completed the signing of midfielder John Asiimwe from rivals Express. The club revealed on Monday that the versatile player has joined them.
Asiimwe, a graduate of the Uganda Cubs team that featured at the FIFA U17 FIFA World Cup last year has been at Express for two seasons.
Before joining Express, he played for Prosper Soccer Academy and also featured for Bukedea Comprehensive School in the USSSA games.
With several players departing SC Villa, the signing of Asiimwe comes as a perfect replacement especially on the flanks and central midfield where Hassan Mubiru and Elvis Ngonde has since left.
He becomes the first official signing for the Jogoos as they prepare for the 2026/27 season that gets underway in August.
