Crested Cranes roving left-back Sumaya Komuntale has finalised a move to Tanzanian Women’s Premier League outfit Yanga Princess.
Komuntale joins the Dar es Salaam-based side on a two-year contract that will keep her at the club until August 2028. She arrives from Finance Trust Women Super League side She Corporate, where she played out the second half of the 2025/26 season.
The former Tooro Queens captain has inked what is understood to be a lucrative deal, making her one of the top earners at Yanga Princess as the team reorganises for the upcoming campaign.
Widely regarded as one of the finest left-backs in the region, Komuntale brings a stellar resume to Tanzania. She has represented Uganda across all national team levels, earning caps for the Teen Cranes, Uganda Queens, and the senior Crested Cranes side.
Renowned for her exceptional set-piece execution, precise crossing ability, and strong tactical awareness, the soft-spoken defender previously featured for Tooro Queens, Kampala Queens, and She Corporate before securing her latest abroad transfer.
