Charles De Ketelaere scored a brace in Belgium’s 4-1 victory over the United States of America (USA) in the round of 16 at the 2026 FIFA World Cup in Seattle.
Substitutes Hans Vanaken and Romelu Lukaku scored the other goals for the European side.
Malik Tillman scored the consolation for the United States of America (USA).
Belgium took the early lead through Ketelaere’s 9th-minute goal. Tillman levelled the matters on the half-hour mark.
Ketelaere, who features for Atlanta in the Italian Serie A, restored Belgium’s lead three minutes later to establish a 2-1 lead by the break.
Vanaken made it 3-1 after 57 minutes, and Lukaku sealed Belgium’s victory with a stoppage-time goal.

Now, the elimination of the USA followed the exit of two other co-hosts, Mexico and Canada, at the same stage.
Belgium will now face Spain at the quarterfinal stage.
Spain defeated Portugal 1-0 with Mikel Merino’s 91st-minute goal.

Reigning world champions Argentina will face off against Egypt in the early kick-off at Atlanta Stadium.
Switzerland will then play Colombia at the BC Place Stadium in Vancouver.
