Kinyara Sugar Limited is a pronounced associate of sports with support in football, Squash, Golf, Cricket and other community outreach programs as part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) cause.

Uganda Premier League entity Kitara Football Club has renewed its sponsorship agreement with Kinyara Sugar Limited for a further two years, in a deal worth Ug.Shs 300 million.

The current agreement was due to expire this coming October, but Kinyara moved early to extend the partnership, with the milestone reached at the company’s headquarters in Masindi on Thursday, 16th July 2026.

Kinyara Sugar Limited’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Ramalingam Ravi remarked that the club’s continued success on the pitch was the biggest factor behind the company’s decision to stay on for two more years.

From the management side, we appreciate Kitara Football Club for their continuous, victorious excellence in Ugandan football. We are proud to be a key sponsor, and we congratulate the club and the entire team. We are also happy to announce that we are extending our engagement to continue this journey with Kitara Football Club. Joshua Atugonza, the chief executive officer at Kitara Football Club hailed Kinyara’s continued commitment to the club, describing the renewal as another milestone in a relationship built over several years.

Today, we have witnessed yet another huge occasion. We are here at the Kinyara Sugar Limited headquarters to renew our partnership, and we appreciate the financial support Kinyara has given us over the years. We don’t take it for granted.

Kinyara and Kitara have enjoyed a fruitful partnership over the past two seasons, with the sugar manufacturer’s logo featuring prominently on the front of the Royals’ training and match day jerseys.

Kitara capped last season by winning the Stanbic Uganda Cup, and the club will now step onto the continental stage in the CAF Confederation Cup this September.

Atugonza believes this renewed backing from Kinyara will be key to helping the club compete at that level.

This is why they have trusted us with another two year deal. I want to thank the management of Kinyara Sugar Limited for continuing to trust us with their logo. We promise to carry it high now that we are heading into continental football, this brand will travel beyond Uganda’s borders.

As Kitara prepares for the 2026/27 season, the renewed partnership will give Kinyara Sugar Limited continued visibility across the Uganda Premier League, the CAF Confederation Cup, and the Stanbic Uganda Cup.

The deal also includes branding rights at all Kitara home matches, joint appearances at press conferences, and expanded fan engagement across the Bunyoro region.
