Uganda Premier League entity Kitara Football Club has renewed its sponsorship agreement with Kinyara Sugar Limited for a further two years, in a deal worth Ug.Shs 300 million.
The current agreement was due to expire this coming October, but Kinyara moved early to extend the partnership, with the milestone reached at the company’s headquarters in Masindi on Thursday, 16th July 2026.

Kinyara Sugar Limited’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Ramalingam Ravi remarked that the club’s continued success on the pitch was the biggest factor behind the company’s decision to stay on for two more years.

From the management side, we appreciate Kitara Football Club for their continuous, victorious excellence in Ugandan football. We are proud to be a key sponsor, and we congratulate the club and the entire team. We are also happy to announce that we are extending our engagement to continue this journey with Kitara Football Club. I want to take this opportunity to congratulate the management for lifting and transforming the image and standard of football across the Bunyoro community. That is what we are most proud of, and we wish them a great season ahead.
Ramalingam Ravi, Kinyara Sugar Limited’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Joshua Atugonza, the chief executive officer at Kitara Football Club hailed Kinyara’s continued commitment to the club, describing the renewal as another milestone in a relationship built over several years.
Today, we have witnessed yet another huge occasion. We are here at the Kinyara Sugar Limited headquarters to renew our partnership, and we appreciate the financial support Kinyara has given us over the years. We don’t take it for granted.
Joshua Atugonza, CEO Kitara Football Club

Kinyara and Kitara have enjoyed a fruitful partnership over the past two seasons, with the sugar manufacturer’s logo featuring prominently on the front of the Royals’ training and match day jerseys.
Kitara capped last season by winning the Stanbic Uganda Cup, and the club will now step onto the continental stage in the CAF Confederation Cup this September.

Atugonza believes this renewed backing from Kinyara will be key to helping the club compete at that level.
This is why they have trusted us with another two year deal. I want to thank the management of Kinyara Sugar Limited for continuing to trust us with their logo. We promise to carry it high now that we are heading into continental football, this brand will travel beyond Uganda’s borders.
Joshua Atugonza, CEO – Kitara Football Club

As Kitara prepares for the 2026/27 season, the renewed partnership will give Kinyara Sugar Limited continued visibility across the Uganda Premier League, the CAF Confederation Cup, and the Stanbic Uganda Cup.

The deal also includes branding rights at all Kitara home matches, joint appearances at press conferences, and expanded fan engagement across the Bunyoro region.
