Vipers SC head coach Denis Lavagne has officially named a 24-man travelling squad for the upcoming CECAFA Kagame Cup 2026 in Rwanda, blending high-profile returnees, fresh signings, and established mainstays.
The French tactician, who recently took charge at St. Mary’s Stadium Kitende, faces his first major competitive test as the reigning Uganda Premier League champions prepare to battle for regional glory in Kigali.
The squad features the dramatic return of fan favorites Farouk Miya and forward Cesar Lobi Manzoki.
Miya returns to the Venoms after a decade in Europe, while Manzoki re-arms the front line after previous scoring heroics.
Summer recruits, including Gabonese goalkeeper Loyce Mbaba and midfielder Joel Sserunjogi have made the cut as Lavagne shapes his squad identity ahead of both regional and CAF Champions League duties.

Up front, skipper Milton Karisa and Yunus Sentamu join Manzoki, Isaac Ogwang, Gusto Mulongo, Beyuku Goldi, and Annest Ankunda to form a formidable 7-man attacking unit.
Vipers will use the CECAFA Kagame Cup campaign in Kigali to fine-tune their tactics and fitness before kicking off their Uganda Premier League title defence and CAF Champions League preliminary rounds.
