The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) Competitions Department, led by Competitions Director Shawn Mubiru, has officially released the schedule for the 2026 FUFA Super 8 tournament.
The pre-season tournament is scheduled to run from August 1 to August 15, 2026. Matches will be hosted across two main venues, Phillip Omondi Stadium and Hamz Stadium.
The opening round features a series of high-stakes two-legged quarterfinal ties. Action kicks off on Saturday, August 1, at Phillip Omondi Stadium with KCCA FC taking on BUL FC at 4:00 PM, followed by SC Villa clashing with Maroons FC at 7:00 PM.
The first-leg action shifts to Hamz Stadium on Sunday, August 2, where Kitara FC faces UPPC FC at 4:00 PM before NEC FC meets Police FC at 7:00 PM.
The second-leg reverse fixtures will decide who advances to the championship pathway. On Thursday, August 8, Hamz Stadium hosts Police FC against NEC FC at 4:00 PM, followed by UPPC FC battling Kitara FC at 7:00 PM.
Meanwhile, Omondi Stadium will host the remaining return legs on Friday, August 7, with Maroons FC meeting SC Villa at 4:00 PM and BUL FC taking on KCCA FC at 7:00 PM.
Placement and semifinal ties for Round 2 will take place shortly after. On Monday, August 10, Hamz Stadium will host the playoff between the losers of quarterfinal two and quarterfinal four at 4:00 PM, followed by the semifinal clash between the winners of quarterfinal two and quarterfinal four at 7:00 PM.
The following day, Tuesday, August 11, Omondi Stadium will witness the losers of quarterfinal three and quarterfinal one duel at 4:00 PM, leading into the second semifinal between the winners of quarterfinal three and quarterfinal one at 7:00 PM.
The tournament reaches its climax in Round 3 with classification matches and the grand final. On Friday, August 14, Hamz Stadium hosts the match between the losers of Semifinal three and Semifinal one at 4:00 PM, followed by the encounter between the winners of Semifinal three and Semifinal one at 7:00 PM.
The competition concludes on Saturday, August 15, at Omondi Stadium, where the losers of S4 and Semifinal two play at 4:00 PM before the winners of Semifinal four and Semifinal two face off at 7:00 PM to crown the 2026 MTN FUFA Super 8 champions.
