The 2026 Johnnie Walker Uganda Golf Open series officially tees off on Wednesday, August 13.
The country’s top female golfers and eight foreigners, including 2018 winner Neema Olomi, will take on the par-72 UGC course as the three-day ladies championship gets underway.
It’s an open field, but with usual suspects and former winners of the championships, Martha Babirye and Peace Kabasweka, leading the pack with the favourites tag.
Besides Babirye, Kabasweka and Olomi, youngsters Winnie Musuya and Keisha Kagoro, fresh from winning the Botswana Ladies Open, could have a look in at the open.
Season players such as Hawa Wanyeche from Tanzania, Meron Kyomugisha and Judith Komiugisha, as well as Vicky Elias could be in the mix.
Babirye will tee off alongside Rose Azuba and Laura Atukunda at 8:00 a.m.
Kabasweka tees off at 9:20 a.m. alongside Vicky Elias and Danelle Kawalya, while Olomi tees off at 9:30 a.m. alongside Rest Nalutaya and Wendy Angudeyo.
