Allan Okello will feature in his first Tanzania Community Shield on Wednesday August 12, 2026 at Amaan complex in Zanzibar when Young Africans take on Simba.
The Tanzania Premier League curtain raiser sees the league champions (Young Africans) and CRDB Federation Cup winners (Simba) face off.
It will be the first time Okello who joined Young Africans early this year features in this competition and will be one of the players to look out in this game.
Both sides lost their preceding matches to this Kariakoo derby with Young Africans losing to Congo’s Aigle Noir 2-1 despite taking a lead through new signing Peter Shalulile while Simba fell to Kenya’s Police 1-0 on their respective celebratory days.
However, those defeats won’t matter for now as the big prize alongside the bragging rights.
Young Africans hold edge in the past meetings with seven consecutive matches unbeaten against Simba winning six and drawing the other.
In the Community Shield, the two sides are tied on six wins apiece with Pacome Zouzoua goal deciding last season’s game.
