Amus College School overcame Tanzania’s Alliance High School Mwanza 2-0 in Group B of the FEASSA Games 2026, played at the Highlands Playground in Morogoro, Tanzania, on Monday, 17th August.

Hellen Namulondo and Babra Nasista scored for Amus College School in the 58th and 67th minutes, respectively.

Amus College has now ascended to seven points from three games in Group B.

The Bukedea District-based school opened the championship with a comprehensive 3-0 victory over Kilombero SS and was held to a goal-less draw by St Joseph’s Girls Kitale (Kenya).

Meanwhile, in Group A, Rines Secondary School made it 3 victories out of 3 games.

The reigning Uganda girls’ football national champions overcame Tanzania’s Fountain Gate Secondary School at the Highland Sports Complex on Monday, 17th August 2026.

Justine Ayerango scored a brace, and Zuena Nandego got one goal for Rines Secondary School.

Sara Omary’s earlier opener turned into a mere consolation.

The victory takes Rines S.S to 9 points out of three matches played thus far and in sight for a slot at the semi-finals.

This follows earlier wins over Nyakach Girls (Kenya) and Ziba SS (Tanzania) 3-1 and 1-0 respectively.

In the three matches, Rines S.S has now scored 7 goals and conceded twice.

“I thank my teammates for the fighting spirit. The job is halfway done; we need to climax on a high note,” team skipper Ayerango remarked.

Next Matches:

Action continues on Tuesday, 18th August 2026 as Boni Consili Vocational and Secondary School faces St Joseph’s Kitale from Kenya at 9 AM.

At 11 am; Jinja Progressive Academy (JIPRA) will play Rines S.S during the all-Ugandan contest.

The group stages are expected to be completed by Wednesday, 19th August 2026 ahead of the semi-finals and eventual finals.

There are various indoor and outdoor games at the FEASSA Games which climax on 22nd August 2026.

Hosts Tanzania are joined by Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda and Burundi.
