The Kyadondo 7s pools have been drawn as the National 7s enter Stop 3.

Table leaders the Black Pirates are in a relatively easy Pool A alongside a stubborn Rams side, while the hosts, the Heathens, find themselves in Pool B, the pool of death.

Heathens are grouped with the National 7s defending champions, the Walukuba Barbarians, alongside high-flying tournament debutants the Victoria Sharks and an underperforming Rhinos that can pick its day and frustrate any team.

In Pool C, a resurgent KOBs has a fairly easy ride as they face the Eagles and Hippos. Their biggest opponents in the pool, the Buffaloes, will have to compete without some of their star players like Fat Moses Watmon and Daniels Otim, who are away with the Uganda National 7s team preparing for the HSBC III qualifiers.

The Women’s Pools have table leaders the Nile Rapids in Pool A facing the Avengers, who have failed to break the ceiling and get to a National 7s final.

The ever-improving Ewes, who are newcomers to the competition, will have to play for third place in the Pool against the Black Pearls.

The Rapids are without some starters who are currently with their respective schools at the East Africa Schools’ Games in Morongoro, Tanzania.

In Pool B, Walukuba Titans will tussle it out with a Thunderbirds side that will be playing in familiar territory and is likely to welcome back some star players that have been greatly missed in the first two stops of the National 7s.

The She Wolves and Mbale Eagles make up the rest of Pool B and will play the Mbale Derby as the latter try to settle in with life in the big leagues after gaining promotion to the National 7s.
