Uganda Premier League champions Vipers SC have officially bid farewell to key defender Rogers Ochaki Torach following the completion of his transfer to Algerian Ligue 1 giants CS Constantine.

The 23-year-old centre-back leaves St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende, after a stellar five-season stint, bringing an end to a remarkably decorated chapter with the Venoms.

Torach, who signed a three-year deal with the Algerian outfit after Constantine activated his release clause, was a pillar in Vipers’ backline.

Most notably, he played an integral role in the club’s double-winning squad under the dual guidance of co-coaches Fred Muhumuza and John ‘Ayala’ Luyinda.

In a warm send-off message published on their official platforms, Vipers SC praised the defender’s exemplary work ethic and contribution to Kitende’s modern success.

“For all the years of service, for all the trophies and the happy memories, we say; Thank You! His commitment, reliability and professionalism have been greatly valued throughout his time at St Mary’s Stadium.” the statement partly reads,

Torach’s rise at St Mary’s Stadium has been steady. Having grown into one of the most reliable and physically imposing central defenders in domestic football.

His performances for the Venoms paved the way for international recognition, including representing the Uganda Cranes and starring for the U20 side.

His exit leaves Vipers searching for defensive reinforcements ahead of the new campaign as they look to fill the void left by his commanding physical presence and defensive discipline.

Torach becomes the latest high-profile departure from Kitende as Vipers continue to solidify their reputation as Uganda’s primary launchpad for players moving into competitive foreign leagues.
