Uganda Premier League side Express is closing in on completing the acquisition of forward Alpha Thiery Ssali.
Reports indicate that the forward has terminated his contract with KCCA due to a lack of playing time.
His final memory will be lifting the FUFA Super 8 trophy after edging NEC in the closely contested final at Hamz Stadium, Nakivubo.
Ssali joined the Kasasiro Boys in September 2026 after another disappointing spell at NEC, returning to Express, where his story in the top tier began.
During his time at Express, the young player enjoyed one and a half years of playing time before he chose to leave.
If the deal goes through, he will return to a significantly improved environment at Express, thus joining a major rebuild of the Red Eagles.
Express has welcomed Isaac Wagiona back to the club that gave him his start. He will work under the guidance of head coach Morley Byekwaso.
