Vipers SC secured a well-deserved 3-0 victory over Ntugasaze FC in a Uganda Premier League encounter played at St. Mary’s Stadium, Kitende.
Goals from Gusto Mulondo, Odili Chukwuma, and Cesar Manzoki ensured the Venoms collected all three points in comfortable fashion.
The hosts dominated from the outset, with Ashraf Mandela setting up Mulondo early on, though the forward’s initial effort drifted just wide of the target.
Mulondo thought he had broken the deadlock in the 24th minute when he found the back of the net, but the goal was ruled out for offside. However, his patience paid off just three minutes later when he met Karim Watambala’s well-delivered corner kick with a precise header to give Vipers a deserved lead.
In the second half, substitute Farouk Miya made an immediate impact, setting up Odili, who doubled the lead with an emphatic finish on the hour mark.
Just three minutes later, Manzoki put the icing on the cake, calmly slotting home to seal a dominant performance and cap off a seamless team move.
Miya had a chance to add a fourth after being played through by Enock Walusimbi late in the game, but his effort missed the target by inches.
The victory moves Vipers up to 11th position on the table with three points from two matches, while Ntugasaze remain rooted to the bottom of the log, still searching for their first point after four games.
