Kigezi HomeBoyz Football Club has officially announced the departure of Head Coach Joseph Harold Mutyaba by mutual consent.
In an official club statement released on Wednesday evening, October 7, 2026, the Gorillas confirmed that both parties reached an agreement to end their working relationship following joint discussions.
To fill the void, the Kabale-based side has appointed experienced tactician Kefa Kisala as the new Head Coach to steer the club forward.
“Kigezi HomeBoyz Football Club can confirm that the club and Head Coach Joseph Harold Mutyaba mutually agreed to part ways following discussions between both parties,” read part of the official statement.
“Kefa Kisala will assume the role of Head Coach and take charge of the team moving forward.”
Kisala steps in immediately to take full control of technical duties as Kigezi HomeBoyz aim to stabilise their season and maintain a strong push in domestic competition.
This comes after a narrow 1-0 loss against Kitara in the Uganda Premier League encounter played at Hoima City Stadium.
After four games played in the top tier, Kigezi HomeBoyz have collected one point in four games conceeding six goals and conceeding only one.
