Samuel Ssekamatte Kayongo Credit: ARUA HILLS

Samuel Ssekamatte has joined Arua Hills turning down a chance to play in Iceland.

The big centre forward has been unveiled by the new league entrants who are so far the busiest club in the transfer market at the moment.

Ssekamatte joins the West Nile based club after a stellar season with Soltilo Bright Stars in which his 13 goals helped the club fifth in the Uganda Premier League.

The former KCCA striker had been recommended to a second tier club in Iceland by former Uganda Cranes midfielder Tonny Mawejje and was set to sign a short contract with the club until the end of the season.

At Arua Hills, he joins new signings Ivan Eyam (Mbarara City), Faizul Ibrahim (Wakiso Giants), Andama Junior (Calvary) and Saaka Sharif among others.

Arua Hills are currently without a head coach after Hussein Mbalangu and staff bitterly left after the club reportedly agreed a deal with Charles Livingstone Mbabazi.
