MASAKA LC 0-1 WATER FC
Joseph Bukenya struck late in the first half to hand visiting Water FC a 1-0 win over hosts Masaka LC in a league game played this evening at Masaka Recreation Ground. The win means Water FC now moves to 6th on the table with 38 points while Masaka LC backtracks to 9th with 35 points. The loss is Masaka’s sixth in a row in all competitions and the forth in the league with the side’s last win coming on 14th of April against Utoda FC.
Since then, Kefa Kisala’s side has lost to KCC FC (1-0), Simba SC (0-1), Police FC (1-3) and now Water FC (0-1) in the league. This is in total contrast to Charles Ayiekho’s Water FC side that has not lost in their previous four league games.
Speaking to Kawowo sports after the game, Coach Kefa Kisala was disappointed with the result but could not openly tell where the slump in form of his side. “It’s disappointing that we can’t win a game of football. Perhaps its complacence after the boys performed well in the first round of the league. Its difficult figuring out what really is happening”, said the soft spoken Coach who was recently nominated in the Best Coach of the year category of the Bell super league season 2011/12. Masaka’s next game is on Friday against Bidco FC at home while Water FC will pay a courtesy visit to Bombo to play Simba SC.
