
URA football club, strolled to a comfortable 2-0 win over army-side Simba FC this afternoon at Mutesa II stadium,Wankulukuku in the Bell Lager Uganda Super League as they reclaimed the top spot again.
Robert Ssentongo, opened the scoring for the tax collectors nineteen minutes into the game pouncing on a lose ball in the box after a lethal cross from Sula Bagala that Harrison Sempangi, failed to contain in his area. It was the diminutive strikers ninth goal of the season as he maintained his status as the top scorer in the 13 team league.
Ssentongo, then turned provider in the 45 minute when he crossed a beauty for Vincent Kayizzi, who rounded up subsistute keeper Alex Mugabi, to ensure the maximum three points for the league champions who are seeking back to back titles of the league.
Simba looked disjointed with their team arriving for the game late which led to them playing a relatively disjointed game.
In the earlier kick-off Mike Mutebi’s three match winning run with SC Villa was brought to an end when his side was held by Jinja based Victors FC 1-1.
The Jogoos took the lead in the 25 minute through Robert Achema, but the wasteful side paid the price 80 minutes into the game when Ayub Kiiza, levelled the score after some sloopy defending by Villa’s backline.
Villa had gone a three game winning run that saw them beat Utoda FC twice and URA to push them to third position.
