The source of the Nile rally is set take place on Saturday 22nd March to Sunday 23rd, next weekend at Jinja, marking the second NRC event this year.
The first event had drivers vying for points in Mbarara, an epic contest that saw Duncan Mubiri ‘Kikankane’ earning most points, alongside co-driver Paul Musaazi, in a Subaru Impreza N14.
Several prominent rally drivers return in this Source of the Nile rally including “Black Widow”, Dr.Ashraf Ahmed, Shafiq Ssemujju who has also registered for Africa Rally Championships (ARC), John Barrows Lumu, John Consta, Duncan Mubiru and Nasser Mutebi.
Registration for the event closes on Sunday 16th, the rally comprising 6 special stages, with a total rally distance of 270.26kms.
It will commence at 2.00pm on Saturday 22nd, taking center stage at Jinja Agricultural Show Grounds and St.John Wakitaka SS, an event that will climax with an award ceremony on sunday 23rd.
Notable Absentees include ‘Super Lady’ Susan Muwonge, who is expected to register for the third NRC event and Jas Mangat who revealed early this week, that he wasn’t ready for the event.
